One of the best magnets to use as a tradeshow giveaway is the magnetic clip. These come in various sizes and are more effective than the business card magnet or calendar magnet when being used to hold papers on the fridge. They can hold larger items and more weight, meaning they are more likely to hang around when people are using them to hold notes and coupons on their fridges.

Thinking a little more out of the box is the magnetic LED light. These are a bit more expensive than the other magnets we mentioned, but they will definitely leave a positive impression on the client. These have become very popular with clients who like to read in bed or that are looking for extra lighting on their computer when working at night.

Trade show giveaways are an afterthought for many companies as they give away the same things that they have been offering for years. They figure they never get any return on their items, so they try and keep it as cheap as possible. By thinking out of the box and offering something a bit more unique, your items can leave a lasting impression and hopefully result in a few extra phone calls from new clients.
