    United Kingdom : Country’s Overview
    Geographical Features to enjoy -
    United Kingdom is The Union of four constituent nations.They are-Great Britain, Northern Ireland , Scotland and Wales. But the most of its part is covered by the British Isles.It is surrounded by the mystic North Atlantic Ocean and goes to within 35 kilometers of the north French coast which is separated by the English channel.
    The kingdom is ruled by The Queen and has a democratic constitutional monarchy. France, Belgium, Netherlands and Ireland are its closest neighbors.
    With the strong English essence, you will find heartfilling landscapes. England being the mainland of The UK,is famous for the castles with the largest city and the capital ,London.
    UK has a total area of 243,610 square kilometers. Ireland is a different country altogether with just the Northern Ireland under the queens’ rule.
    Climate
    The Southeastern part of the UK is much effected by the summers which can go to 95F and the winters are basically in the northern part of the country.The mighty presence of the Atlantic Ocean,prevails the wind to be mild and wet and thus makes being in the country, pleasurable.
    Mostly is it all about plenty of rainfall around the year with the temperate climate.
    The usual minimum temperature in winters can be 12F.
    Cuisine
    If you are a junky about the food and travel, with main preference for food , you wont be at all disappointed in England.With the blend of the modern cuisines and the style and the use of high-quality local ingredients can make you go crazy about the food here.
    Traditionally based on beef,pork,lamb,chicken and fish and served with potatoes. Typical dishes are “Fish and chips”,”Kippers”,”Sunday roast”.
    Currency
    The official currency of the UK is Pound Sterling also commonly known as Pound.It is the fourth most traded currency in the foreign exchange market and the third most held reserve currency in global reserves.
    On 1/100 it is called a penny. With the notes/bills of value as: 5, 10, 20 and 50 pounds with 1 and 100 used rarely, issued by the Central bank as “Bank of ENGLAND”.
    Exchange of any currency with the pounds can be done at various private and public exchange outlets.
    Culture
    In 2001 census it was found that 92.1% people residing in England are whites, having ancestors coming down in British Isles 6200 years ago with a 75% gene match. But historically the people in England were thought to be descendants of the Romans, The Celtics and The Normans.
    Liverpool, a famous city has the oldest black population in the country and the oldest Chinese community in Europe.
    Most of the people differentiate themselves on the basis of being Irish, Scottish and Welish.
    Music
    United Kingdom has been a source of classical, folk and symphonies since thirteenth century.
    Each of its four nations follows and practices their own kind of folk music.
    >English folk Music-Folk metal, Folk punk and electric folk.
    >Northern Irish folk music-instruments used are Fiddles.
    >Scottish Folk Music- Bagpipers are famous as the instruments with which ballads and laments were sung.
    >Welish Folk Music-Music is related to the communal dances and during folk dances.
    In the modern times, the famous kind of music came out of this country’s nest was the “British Rock”. The Beatles, Depeche Mode are the British rock bands which are followed worldwide.
    Other than this, people are grateful for Jazz and pop at the same time.
    Economically the UK is sound and is one of the leading countries in the world. It is seen as the essential part of the UN and the VETO.
